36th National Yogasana Competition Concludes Grandly at Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Sultanpur

“Yoga is the Ultimate Solution to Our Physical and Mental Challenges” — Brijesh Mishra, IPS

Sultanpur: The 36th National Yogasana Competition, organized by Vidya Bharati Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Sansthan, concluded on Saturday at Saraswati Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School, Gyan Kunj, Vivekananda Nagar, Sultanpur with great enthusiasm and discipline.

Durg Singh Rajpurohit, National Coordinator of Vidya Bharati’s Sanskriti Bodh Project and Competition Observer, shared that the closing ceremony began with the Saraswati Vandana. Principal Rakesh Mani Tripathi welcomed the chief guests with ceremonial shawls and fruit offerings. Jagdish Kumar Singh, Sports Head of Eastern Uttar Pradesh, emphasized the importance of physical education, noting that Vidya Bharati places it at the forefront of its five fundamental subjects. Winners from this national competition will qualify for competitions organized by SGFI (School Games Federation of India).

The event’s chief guest, IPS Officer and Superintendent of Police (Training) Brijesh Mishra, highlighted that participants hailed from across the country—from Assam in the northeast to Kerala in the south. He emphasized:
“Yoga is an essential aspect of our lives and the ultimate solution to our physical and mental challenges. Its significance has been praised in our religious scriptures as well.” He extended his best wishes to all participants.

Students of Saraswati Vidya Mandir Vivekananda Nagar also presented cultural programs inspired by traditional Indian festivals. The previous evening featured programs showcasing India’s cultural diversity, captivating the audience.

  • Children’s Category (Boys): 1st – South Central Region, 2nd – South Region, 3rd – Northeast Region

  • Children’s Category (Girls): 1st – East Region, 2nd – Western UP, 3rd – Northeast Region

  • Teen Category (Boys): 1st – Central Region, 2nd – South Central, 3rd – Western UP

  • Teen Category (Girls): 1st – Western UP, 2nd – South Central, 3rd – North Region

  • Youth Category (Boys): 1st – Western UP, 2nd – Central, 3rd – Rajasthan

  • Youth Category (Girls): 1st – Western UP, 2nd – South Central, 3rd – Northeast

Durg Singh Rajpurohit officially announced the conclusion of the event, while Acharya Devendra Kumar Pathak recited the closing mantra. Dr. V.K. Jha, Vice President of the School Management Committee, expressed gratitude to all guests, officials, organizers, participants, and their guardians, and praised Principal Rakesh Mani Tripathi and his team for the excellent arrangements.

The event saw participation from 125 boys and 126 girls representing 11 regions across India, with 29 judges and 5 officials present throughout. Distinguished guests and judges included Dwarika Nath Pandey, Ranjana Pandey, Anil Pandey, Sarita Tripathi, Ramesh Mishra, Sanjeev Chaturvedi, Vivekanand Yadav, Pooja Shukla, Shubham Singh, Jyoti Upadhyay, Ragini Mishra, Gyanendra Tripathi, Sakshi Singh, and Shreya Tiwari.

The 36th National Yogasana Competition concluded successfully, celebrating both physical excellence and cultural richness among the youth of India.
