Lucknow: Marking the pride, valour and dedication symbolised by Police Flag Day, Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police Rajiv Krishna pinned the official Police Colour (Police Flag) on Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in a special ceremony held at the CM’s residence.
The event underscored the state police force’s unwavering commitment to duty, courage and service. Police Flag Day, observed annually, honours the rich legacy and traditions of the police services, celebrating their role in ensuring law and order and safeguarding citizens.

The ceremony was attended by senior officials, including Amitabh Yash, ADG (Law & Order) and STF Chief, and Suvendra K.R. Bhagat, who joined the DGP in extending the symbolic honour to the Chief Minister.

CM Yogi expressed appreciation for the dedication of the Uttar Pradesh Police, reiterating the state government’s commitment to further strengthen policing, modernisation and public safety initiatives.
The brief yet significant event highlighted the continued synergy between the state leadership and the police force in upholding peace and security across Uttar Pradesh.
