Kashi Gears Up for Grand Welcome of Prime Minister Narendra Modi

Varanasi: Varanasi, the parliamentary constituency of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is decked up to welcome him for his two-day visit beginning Friday evening. The city is brimming with excitement as preparations for the Prime Minister’s grand reception reach their peak.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Kashi region has made elaborate arrangements, setting up six welcome points from Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport (Babatpur) to Banaras Rail Engine Factory (Bharat Heavy Electricals, BAREKA). Party workers and locals will greet the Prime Minister with flower showers, traditional drums, and music along the route.

According to BJP officials, after addressing a public meeting in Bhabhua, Bihar, PM Modi will arrive at Babatpur Airport at 5:10 PM, where Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna will receive him. From there, he will proceed by road to Bareka Guest House, where several welcome ceremonies, including rose petal showers, band performances, and chanting of mantras, are planned.

After a brief rest, the Prime Minister will hold a meeting with BJP leaders and public representatives in the evening and stay overnight at the guest house.

On November 8, PM Modi will visit Banaras Railway Station, where he will flag off four Vande Bharat Express trains, including the Banaras–Khajuraho via Chitrakoot route. He will then address the gathering before departing for Darbhanga, Bihar, from Babatpur Airport. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw will accompany him during the event.

The city’s vibrant decorations, enthusiastic crowds, and festive atmosphere reflect Kashi’s heartfelt anticipation for its beloved leader’s arrival.
