Lucknow to Host International Wrestling Superstars on Uttar Pradesh Diwas

Lucknow: The city of Nawabs, Lucknow, is gearing up for a grand sporting spectacle as it prepares to host India’s biggest-ever international freestyle wrestling event — “Rannbhoomi 1.0: The Clash of Bahubalis.” For the first time, world-renowned wrestling champions will perform live in India, bringing a thrilling mix of sports, strength, and entertainment to fans.

The event will take place on January 24, 2026, at K.D. Singh Babu Stadium, Lucknow, as part of the Uttar Pradesh Diwas celebrations, dedicated to promoting the state’s sporting spirit and youthful energy.

Under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Uttar Pradesh has emerged as one of India’s fastest-growing states, rejuvenating sports and cultural development. With Lucknow fast becoming a hub for sporting excellence, Rannbhoomi 1.0, organized by Wrestling World of Bharat (WWB), promises to be a landmark moment for India’s wrestling revival.

The event will feature international freestyle wrestling superstars, including:

Speaking at the event, Raj Singh, Founder of Wrestling World of Bharat and Beezer Bonzer World, said: “This is not just a wrestling show — it’s a mission to revive India’s oldest and most loved sport, wrestling, in a global format. Our goal is to bring our traditional ‘kushti’ heritage to an international platform and showcase India’s true strength through its Bahubalis.”

Raj Singh, a motivational speaker, anchor, and first-generation entrepreneur, conceptualized Freestyle Wrestling World of Bharat and The Clash of Bahubalis to combine India’s cultural roots with international sports entertainment.

Mark Beale, Chairman of WWP/WAW (South Africa), who has organized thousands of wrestling shows in over 50 countries, added:

Driven by Raj Singh and Anita Singh, the initiative aims to revive India’s traditional wrestling legacy, create global exposure for Indian wrestlers, and establish a Freestyle Professional Wrestling Institute in Lucknow to nurture future talent.
