UP RERA Certifies 19th and 20th Batches of Real Estate Agents

Lucknow / Gautam Buddh Nagar: The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA) awarded certificates to successful candidates of its 19th and 20th batches during the “Agent Training Certification Program” at its Lucknow headquarters. Chairman Sanjay Bhoosreddy personally presented certificates to 84 agents.

The training program, first launched in December 2024 at Literacy House, Lucknow, has been conducted continuously across the state since its inception. The program is mandatory for all real estate agents, whether already registered with UP RERA or seeking new registration.

The four-day program provides participants with in-depth knowledge on the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, consumer rights, legal aspects of property transactions, and the responsibilities of agents. The fourth day concludes with a written examination, and certificates are awarded only upon successful completion. The training fee is ₹6,000, and applications are accepted online via the official UP RERA website.

So far, 22 batches have undergone training. Out of 1,750 registered candidates, 890 have participated, and 781 have successfully passed the examination up to the 20th batch. The program continues to build a pool of trained and qualified agents, ensuring greater transparency and accountability in the real estate sector.

Participants praised the course as knowledge-enhancing, noting that it equips them to engage with homebuyers professionally and confidently. They highlighted that the training is conducted by senior UP RERA officials and experts, keeping the curriculum closely aligned with practical industry requirements.

Addressing the ceremony, Chairman Sanjay Bhoosreddy emphasized that trained agents play a key role in promoting transparency and accountability in real estate. He stated that agents are not merely intermediaries but responsible stakeholders protecting consumers’ interests. Properly trained agents guide buyers and investors effectively, reducing disputes and strengthening consumer trust.

Bhoosreddy also noted that UP RERA is committed to enhancing its training program, including the potential introduction of online modules to allow aspiring agents across the state easier access to certification.

The event was attended by Secretary  Mahendra Verma, Principal Advisor  Abrar Ahmed, Financial Advisor  Sudhanshu Tripathi, Legal Advisor  Chandan Kumar Singh, and Assistant Director  Ameersh Kumar, among other officials.
