‘Laapataa Ladies’ Dominates Filmfare Awards 2025, Wins Record 13 Trophies – Full Winners List Inside

Ahmedabad: The 70th Filmfare Awards 2025 turned out to be a historic night for Indian cinema as Kiran Rao’s critically acclaimed film ‘Laapataa Ladies’ swept the ceremony with an astounding 13 awards, matching the all-time record set by Gully Boy six years ago. The grand event took place in Gujarat’s capital Ahmedabad, dazzling audiences with glamour, performances and unforgettable moments.

The biggest highlight of the night was the return of Shah Rukh Khan as host after 17 years. Teaming up with filmmaker Karan Johar, SRK brought charm, wit and nostalgia to the stage. Along with Bollywood superstars, artistes from the Bhojpuri film industry also made their presence felt, showcasing the growing unity of Indian cinema.

In a rare moment, Abhishek Bachchan and Kartik Aaryan shared the Best Actor award, while Alia Bhatt won Best Actress for her performance in Jigra.
