Lucknow/Ghazipur: The Rezang La Raj Kalash Yatra, a tribute to India’s immortal martyrs, reached Ghazipur district, greeted by thunderous chants of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Amar Shahidon Amar Rahen.” Organized by the All India Yadav Mahasabha, the yatra received a grand welcome at multiple points along its route.
The procession commenced from Sidhouna Toll Tax, paying homage with floral tributes at the statue of Gandhi Dada in Purvanchal, before proceeding to Dharwa Gram Sabha near Nandganj Market to honor the statue and family of Shaheed Sheshnath Yadav. Hundreds of locals joined in the reception, led by Sujit Yadav, district president and nephew of Shaheed Sheshnath. The visiting soldiers participating in the yatra were welcomed with garlands and ceremonial shawls.
District coordination of the yatra was led by Sujit Yadav, while nationally, the yatra was guided by National General Secretary Manoj Yadav and State President Advocate Ashok Yadav, Supreme Court advisor. Senior members of the Mahasabha, including Balikaran Yadav (former SP-DIG), Vijay Yadav (former MLC), Ramyash Yadav, Ramesh Yadav, Rajaram Yadav, Madan Yadav, Ramgyan Yadav, and Dharmendra Yadav, participated, narrating the heroic legacy of the Rezang La battle to the gathered crowd. National General Secretary Manoj Yadav recounted tales of valor, leaving attendees visibly moved.
Families of martyrs Sanjay Yadav, Sheshnath Yadav, Vijay Shankar Yadav, and Sangram Yadav were felicitated during the event. Veteran soldiers, led by Surendra Yadav, welcomed the participating army personnel and paid homage to the Kalash of the fallen heroes.

Key participants including Captain Subba Yadav, Soldier Abhay Yadav, Vishesi Singh Kusabaha, Subedar Major Mohammad Shubhriti, Captain Kirshan Kumar Bandh, Captain Uma Shankar Yadav, Subedar Omprakash Yadav, and Havaldar Kalyan Yadav highlighted that the martyrs of Rezang La were not just heroes of the Indian Army, but symbols of national pride, whose sacrifice safeguarded India’s honor.
Sujit Yadav noted that the yatra conveys a powerful message of patriotism to the new generation, ensuring the valor and legacy of Rezang La’s 120 soldiers, who fought valiantly against 5,000 Chinese troops, remain etched in national memory. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from all communities, social organizations, and local authorities, making it a historic celebration of courage and nationalism.
