Mumbai: The much-anticipated trailer of the film Hi Zindagi, produced by Sunil Kumar Agrawal and directed by Ajay Ram, was unveiled in a grand ceremony in Mumbai. Inspired by true events, the film tackles a pressing social issue and is scheduled for release across Indian theatres on October 31.
The film, produced under the banners of C.R. Films and Sunil Agrawal Films, was primarily shot in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. It stars Gaurav Singh, Garima Singh, Ayushi Tiwari, Somi Shree, Deepanshi, and Rishabh Sharma in pivotal roles. The trailer launch saw the presence of the producer, director, lead cast, along with music composer Aditya Raj Sharma, lyricist Jameel Ahmed, and choreographer Ravi Akhade.
A striking moment in the trailer shows a young man approaching a police station to report that four women had sexually assaulted him. The policemen respond with laughter, saying, “Oh really, since when has this been happening?” The trailer ends with a character asserting, “There should be an act to protect men as well.”
Producer Sunil Kumar Agrawal, who is also a practicing lawyer, noted that after studying the newly implemented Indian Justice Code (BNS), he found certain gaps. “The law should be equal for everyone, regardless of gender,” he said. He referenced former Chief Justice U.U. Lalit’s concern in September 2025 regarding the lack of legal remedies for adult male victims of sexual harassment.
Agrawal emphasized, “Through this film, I want to raise a voice for men’s rights. If a man suffers abuse, why should he be denied the right to lodge a complaint? Men too are victims of domestic violence. It’s time either to amend the law or enact a new act for men’s protection.”
Director Ajay Ram added that the story was originally written in 2017 and has been updated by Agrawal to align with current laws. The film features four songs, including “Kanha Ki Murli Baje,” beautifully rendered by Rajnandani Sharma and Aditya Raj Sharma. Recently, the team also launched their OTT platform, CRF Studios.
