Mumbai: On the occasion of World Mental Health Day, Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone visited Madhya Pradesh to celebrate 10 years of her foundation, ‘Live Love Laugh’, which has been a significant pillar of mental health awareness and support in India.
Deepika, a long-time advocate for mental health, spoke candidly about her journey, struggles, and the impact of her foundation. She emphasized that her work is not merely a milestone celebration but a reminder of her continuous efforts to break the social stigma around mental health in the country.
When asked whether standing up for what is right has ever come at a cost, Deepika responded honestly:
“It has happened many times. Whether it was about payments or other issues, I’ve always had to handle things in my own way. I fight my battles quietly and with dignity. Sometimes these matters become public, which isn’t my nature, but I always remain focused on my purpose with simplicity.”

Her words reflect not only her personal experiences but also inspire ongoing discussions about equality, respect, and fairness in the film industry. Deepika continues to demonstrate that true strength lies not in making noise, but in bringing change through dedication, integrity, and quiet perseverance, both in front of the camera and behind the scenes.
