Mumbai : Lenskart, India’s leading eyewear company, unveiled a revolutionary smart glasses feature that allows users to make UPI payments directly through the glasses. The announcement was made at the Global FinTech Festival 2025 in Mumbai, marking the first time such technology has been integrated into wearable eyewear.
The upcoming B-Camera Smart Glasses will allow users to scan QR codes and complete transactions without taking out their phones. Payments will be securely linked to the user’s bank account, with voice-command authentication, making everyday transactions faster and more convenient.
Speaking about the innovation, Lenskart Chairman and CEO Piyush Bansal said, “Smart glasses are becoming an integral part of daily life. By integrating payments with the camera feature, we aim to simplify routine transactions and make life seamless. The B-Camera glasses also include an advanced POV camera and AI, enhancing both vision and financial transactions on-the-go.”

Founded in 2010, Lenskart is headquartered in New Delhi and Gurugram and specializes in eyewear, sunglasses, and contact lenses, along with virtual try-on features through its app. With this new UPI-enabled smart glass, Lenskart is aiming to transform how technology merges with daily life, taking eyewear beyond vision correction to become a part of everyday convenience.
The launch is expected in the coming months, and the tech community is keenly watching how this innovation will impact the consumer experience and redefine smart wearables in India.
