Lucknow | At the Gomtinagar Administrative Building of Lucknow Metro, Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC) Managing Director Sushil Kumar on Monday honoured employees for their outstanding performance in July and August under the ‘Employee of the Month’ initiative.
For July, Ruby Kumari, a women’s security guard, was felicitated for returning a bag containing ₹11,600 in cash, an iPad, passport, power bank, and other valuables to a passenger. Similarly, Pranjul Savita, a security personnel posted at Kanpur’s Nayaganj station, received the August award for returning a passenger’s wallet containing ₹4,869 in cash.
Additionally, Prabhat Kumar (Train Operator/Station Controller, Grade-I) was honoured for his crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the Operations Control Centre (OCC), which helped Lucknow Metro achieve a remarkable 99.99% punctuality rate in train operations during August. Other awardees included Nidhi (TOM Operator, Kanpur) and Harendra Kumar (Housekeeping Staff, Agra).

Speaking on the occasion, MD Sushil Kumar said, “The honesty and dedication of the Lost and Found Cell of Lucknow Metro have always won passengers’ trust. So far, we have successfully returned over ₹47 lakh in cash and other valuables to commuters. Lucknow Metro continues to remain safer, more comfortable, and more convenient than any other public transport system.”
