Lucknow: On the occasion of the 165th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, a great scholar, educationist, and one of India’s most renowned civil engineers, the School of Management Sciences (SMS), Lucknow celebrated the 58th Engineer’s Day on 15th September 2025. The program commenced with garlanding the portrait of Sir Visvesvaraya, followed by addresses from distinguished dignitaries.
Sharad Singh, Secretary & CEO, SMS, extended greetings to all engineering faculty members and staff on this occasion. Dr. Ashish Bhatnagar also emphasized the importance of drawing inspiration from the life and contributions of Sir Visvesvaraya.
Prof. (Dr.) Bharat Raj Singh, Director General (Technical), SMS Lucknow, delivered an insightful address highlighting the pioneering contributions of Bharat Ratna Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya. He urged teachers and students to follow in his footsteps and make meaningful contributions to nation-building. Dr. Dharmendra Singh, Associate Director, enlisted the works of India’s eminent engineers and encouraged everyone to reflect upon and follow their remarkable contributions to the nation. On this occasion, the Engineer Vision Committee also participated in the celebration.

They motivated the students to ignite their creative ideas, dedication, and technical knowledge on the occasion of Engineer’s Day.
The program was conducted by Prof. PK Singh, Dean-Student Welfare. On this occasion, students enthusiastically participated in poster-making, quiz competition and plantation drive under the guidance of Mrs. Sujata Sinha, Assistant Professor, SMS Lucknow.
