New Delhi: Everton’s Jack Grealish has been crowned the Premier League Player of the Month for August 2025, marking a sensational start to life at Goodison Park. The 30-year-old attacking midfielder, who joined Everton on loan from Manchester City this summer, claimed the award after a combined vote from football experts and fans.
Grealish beat competition from an eight-man shortlist, including Riccardo Calafiori, Hugo Ekitike, Marc Guehi, Erling Haaland, Joao Pedro, Antoine Semenyo, and Dominik Szoboszlai. His award was presented at Finch Farm by Everton content producer Andy Castell.
The England international led the league in assists in August, registering four assists in just two matches. He set up both goals in Everton’s 2-0 win over Brighton & Hove Albion and added two more in a thrilling 3-2 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers, lifting the Toffees into fifth place.
This achievement makes Grealish the first Everton player in history to provide multiple assists in consecutive Premier League matches, and he now has the chance to become the first-ever Premier League player to record two or more assists in three straight games when Everton face his former club, Aston Villa, in Matchweek 4.
Grealish is also the first Everton star to claim the Player of the Month honour since Dominic Calvert-Lewin in September 2020.

Everton manager David Moyes was full of praise for his new signing, calling him a game-changer.
“He’s better than I thought he was,” Moyes admitted. “Jack gives us something special—creativity and the potential for goals. He’s playing excellent football and proving just how valuable he can be.”
With his form already making headlines, Grealish’s performances have given Evertonians renewed hope for a strong season ahead.
