Lucknow: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati has gone into action mode as she prepares for Mission 2027. On October 9, the party will organize a state-level programme in Lucknow on the death anniversary of party founder Kanshi Ram. After years, BSP is set to showcase its strength, with Mayawati and national coordinator Akash Anand expected to lead the event.
Recently Mayawati reviewed the preparations with party office-bearers and instructed them to ensure the success of the programme. She expressed satisfaction over the progress of committee formation at the district and booth levels, with nearly 80% of the target achieved, and directed officials to complete the remaining task.
The tribute ceremony will be held at the Kanshi Ram Smarak Sthal on VIP Road, where Mayawati will not only pay homage but also chalk out the party’s strategy to tackle future political challenges.

In her address, Mayawati accused rival parties of conspiring to weaken the BSP through every possible tactic, aiming to deny Dalits, backward classes, minorities, and other marginalized groups their constitutional rights. She recalled that during her previous governments, people from all communities—especially the Bahujan Samaj—benefited from social justice and development.
Referring to global economic challenges, Mayawati also raised concerns over the 50% “Trump Tariff” imposed by the US, warning that it could worsen poverty, unemployment, migration, and inflation in India if corrective measures are not taken. She urged the ruling BJP government to adopt strong, reform-oriented policies in the interest of the nation and the masses.
