LUCKNOW – The Uttar Pradesh Artists Association has launched the official poster for the upcoming 32nd edition of the “Miss and Mr. Uttar Pradesh – A Talent Hunt with a Difference,” a prestigious event set to take place next month.
The competition, which has been organized in various districts of Uttar Pradesh for the past 32 years, aims to be more than just a beauty pageant. According to Wamik Khan, Secretary of the Uttar Pradesh Artists Association, the event focuses on a holistic evaluation of the contestants’ talent, personality, confidence, communication skills, and social awareness.
“This competition provides a unique platform for young people to showcase their hidden artistic and leadership abilities to the world,” Khan said.
The event, which is regularly attended by film personalities, will feature a comprehensive assessment of participants. The key aspects of the competition include:
- Performance: Dance, singing, acting, and fashion walks.
- Personality: Debates and presentations on social issues.
Winners will not only receive attractive prizes but will also get the opportunity to represent the state at national-level events.
The poster unveiling ceremony was attended by a number of distinguished guests, including former Miss Uttar Pradesh winners Tanishk Sharma, Prabhati Pandey, Vaishnavi Dubey, Kajal Israni, Manish Singh, and Damini Singh. Also present were former Mr. Uttar Pradesh winners Devendra Pratap Singh and Nihil Srivastava, along with international choreographer Aftab Qureshi and social activist Edwin Maasi.
Edwin Maasey, the event’s convener, stated that the association is dedicated to providing a continuous platform for the youth of Uttar Pradesh to become self-reliant. The organization will conduct auditions in various districts across the state to select participants.
Other notable attendees at the launch included Deep Sachchar, Abhishek Rajput, Arif Khan, Shan Faridi, Abhas Maurya, Sufiyan Baig, and Nitish Shivhare.
