Lucknow: Lucknow, steeped in history and tradition, became the stage for a moving celebration of patriotism and art. The evening revolved around “Teri Mitti”, a heartfelt cultural tribute led by acclaimed lyricist and poet Manoj Muntashir.
The event drew an illustrious gathering, including Anandiben Patel, Governor of Uttar Pradesh; Dr. Rajeshwar Singh, MLA from Sarojini Nagar; Gajendra Pratap Singh, Executive Vice President of JSW Group; and Dr. S.N. Sabat, Chairman of the UPSSSC.
Muntashir, known for his evocative poetry and stirring lyrics, delivered powerful recitations that captured the essence of love for one’s homeland. His verses — immortalized in the celebrated piece “Teri Mitti” — echoed through the venue, paying homage to the courage, sacrifice, and enduring spirit of India’s heroes.
The patriotic atmosphere was further enriched by a spellbinding performance from Padma Shri awardee Malini Awasthi. Her blend of classical and folk melodies wove seamlessly with Muntashir’s poetry, creating an immersive experience that resonated deeply with the audience.

Speaking about the occasion, Muntashir reflected, “Teri Mitti is more than a composition — it is an emotion, a salute to those who laid down their lives for this land. To share it here, in Lucknow, a city rooted in valor and heritage, makes it even more meaningful.”
The gathering, which included literature enthusiasts, music lovers, students, and patriots, filled the venue to capacity. The evening was more than a cultural showcase; it was a reminder of India’s unity, resilience, and timeless pride — a fitting prelude to the nation’s Independence Day celebrations.
