Smt. Ravi Cancer Seva Kendra Honours Indian Army Soldier on Independence Day

Lucknow — Smt. Ravi Cancer Seva Kendra paid a heartfelt tribute to the courage and dedication of India’s soldiers by honouring one of the nation’s bravehearts on the occasion of the Independence Day.

Responding to the centre’s earlier appeal to recognise the service of armed forces personnel, the centre’s coordinator, Amit Kumar, felicitated Manoj Rawat, a soldier serving in the Indian Army’s Signals Regiment. Rawat has been posted at the challenging Siachen Glacier, where he served the nation in extreme conditions, enduring temperatures as low as –40°C.

Speaking at the event, Amit Kumar said that Independence Day is not merely a festival but a solemn reminder of the supreme sacrifices made by martyrs who gave everything for the country. He emphasised the importance of expressing gratitude towards such valiant soldiers, officers, and members of the armed forces who safeguard the nation.

The ceremony served as a moving reminder of the unwavering commitment of India’s soldiers and the need for society to stand in solidarity with them.
