Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Adarsh Vyapar Mandal and the Food Safety Department are partnering to launch a new awareness campaign aimed at ensuring citizens have access to high-quality food. The campaign, which will officially begin on August 16, was announced following a meeting held on Tuesday evening at the organization’s provincial office on Ayodhya Road.
The meeting brought together officials from the Food Safety Department and local grocery, restaurant, and foodstuff vendors. Assistant Food Commissioner Vijay Pratap Singh, along with Food Safety Officers Nitika Keshari, Jitendra Patel, and Mohammad Shakib, provided a detailed explanation of the department’s regulations.
Assistant Commissioner Vijay Pratap Singh clarified that the department’s main goal is not to harass business owners but to raise awareness so that they can provide safe, high-quality food to the public.


Sanjay Gupta, the state president of the Uttar Pradesh Adarsh Vyapar Mandal, emphasized the need for the department to intensify its efforts in publicizing the rules and conducting awareness drives in local markets. He announced that the organization will collaborate with the Food Safety Department on a large-scale awareness campaign starting on August 16.
Gupta stated that the organization is committed to protecting the interests of traders while also ensuring that citizens receive safe, high-quality food products. The meeting was attended by a large number of traders, including City President Harjinder Singh, Vice Presidents Shyamsundar Agarwal, Sanjay Agarwal, and others.
