Swabhu Media Network Launches in Lucknow with a Focus on Local Stories; First Film Series Based on Neem Karoli Baba

Lucknow | While much of the entertainment industry chases trends and glamour, writer, filmmaker, and media entrepreneur Dr. Vishal Chaturvedi has taken a different path—one that leads back to the roots. Launching a new media network named ‘Swabhu’ from Lucknow, Dr. Chaturvedi aims to revive and amplify local stories through films, books, and digital platforms.

The first offering from Swabhu is an ambitious trilogy based on the life and teachings of Neem Karoli Baba, the mystic saint whose spiritual influence drew global icons like Steve Jobs, Julia Roberts, and Mark Zuckerberg to India. The trilogy is being produced in Hindi, English, Braj, Bhojpuri, and Awadhi, ensuring a deep cultural resonance with native audiences.

Speaking at a press conference, Dr. Chaturvedi emphasized the importance of telling Neem Karoli Baba’s story “from the soil he walked upon, with the same simplicity and reverence.” The trilogy is inspired by his own book ‘Divine Detour: That Changed My Life’, published by Truth and Social Publication. The book was officially launched at the event, along with the film’s poster.

A Platform for Local Talent

Swabhu is more than a company—it’s a movement, a platform where creators from small towns and villages can share their stories with the world,” said Dr. Chaturvedi. “Stories that move the heart often come from places where they were lived—among ordinary people, in everyday dialects.”

Swabhu has partnered with ‘STAGE’, an OTT platform known for regional language content in Haryanvi, Rajasthani, and Bhojpuri. Parveen Singhal, co-founder and Chief Creative Officer of STAGE, stated, “We are proud to partner with Swabhu for their first project. Our shared mission is to bring rooted, truthful stories from Indian heartlands to global audiences.”
