Crackdown on Unfit School Vehicles in Lucknow: Owners and Schools Face Action

Lucknow – In a significant move to ensure the safety of students, the Lucknow transport authorities are set to launch a rigorous campaign against unfit school vehicles. Starting July 1st and running until July 15th, a special drive will be conducted across Uttar Pradesh, with a particular focus on the state capital.

Under this strict new initiative, both the owner of any unfit school vehicle and the school utilizing its services will face stringent action. This decision underscores the authorities’ commitment to prioritizing children’s safety on their commute to and from school.

The Regional Transport Office (RTO) department will spearhead the inspection and monitoring of these vehicles. Officials will be checking for various parameters to ensure vehicles comply with safety regulations, including roadworthiness, proper documentation, and adherence to capacity limits.

This intensified crackdown comes amidst growing concerns over the safety standards of school transportation. The move is a proactive step by the administration to mitigate risks and ensure that children travel in secure and well-maintained vehicles. Parents and guardians are advised to ensure their children’s school transportation meets all safety norms.
