CM Yogi Adityanath Launches ‘Youth Adda’ and ‘CM Yuva’ App to Empower Uttar Pradesh’s Youth

Lucknow — In a major step to boost entrepreneurship and employment among youth, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday launched ‘Youth Adda’, a dedicated space for youth interaction and innovation, and unveiled the ‘CM Yuva’ mobile app during a state-level event held on International MSME Day.

The initiatives aim to provide young individuals with the tools and resources needed to become self-reliant, while also strengthening the state’s micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) ecosystem.

A Boost to Youth-Led Entrepreneurship

Speaking at the launch event, CM Yogi congratulated the 2 crore+ employees working across the state’s MSME sector and highlighted the success of the One District One Product (ODOP) scheme. “From Kannauj’s perfume and Aligarh’s hardware to Lucknow’s chikankari and Amroha’s dholaks, our districts are forging unique identities,” he said. “When governance is inclusive and unbiased, development accelerates naturally.”

What is the ‘CM Yuva’ App?

The CM Yuva app is designed to facilitate interest-free loans of up to ₹5 lakh under the Mukhyamantri Yuva Swarozgar Yojana (CM Yuva). As of now, over 55,000 youth have benefited from the scheme. The Chief Minister noted that more than 90 lakh MSME units have been launched under this initiative, and 90 to 96 lakh MSMEs have received credit guarantees to promote business security.

“This app is not just a digital tool—it is a gateway to dreams. Any young person who wants to start a business can apply directly and get up to ₹5 lakh without interest,” said CM Yogi.

Inclusion of Transgender Community

In a socially progressive move, the Chief Minister also announced that the transgender community will be integrated into the CM Yuva campaign. As per the official communication from the CM’s office, trans individuals will be offered skills-based training and loan assistance, enabling them to become economically self-reliant and socially empowered.

“This is not just an economic initiative—it’s a step toward mainstream inclusion,” the official statement read.

Breaking Free from the Past

Recalling the state’s transformation, CM Yogi said, “Before 2017, Uttar Pradesh was notorious for mafia rule and was considered unsafe for entrepreneurs and women alike. But today, our youth are our ambassadors of change. Those who ruled the state with a family-centric approach pushed it backward.”

He also emphasized that despite efforts to promote tourism and business, people previously found it difficult to find hotel rooms—even after paying in advance—due to poor governance.

A Vision for a Self-Reliant Uttar Pradesh

The dual launch of Youth Adda and CM Yuva marks a significant leap in the state’s ongoing push toward youth empowerment, economic inclusion, and startup culture. By bridging the gap between skills and opportunities, the initiatives aim to establish Uttar Pradesh as a hub for young innovators and entrepreneurs.

With these bold steps, the Yogi Adityanath government continues to set new benchmarks for youth-oriented governance and inclusive development in India’s most populous state.
