Hapur/Lucknow : On the occasion of the 11th International Yoga Day, Uttar Pradesh’s Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Backward Class Welfare and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Narendra Kashyap, actively participated in various yoga events organized in Hapur district, spreading awareness about the importance of yoga in daily life.
Minister Kashyap was the chief guest at a grand yoga event held at Shrimati Brahmadevi Saraswati Balika Vidya Mandir Higher Secondary School, where he performed yoga asanas along with students, teachers, and citizens. Emphasizing yoga’s significance, he said, “Yoga is one of the oldest lifestyle practices in India, offering a pathway to holistic health by balancing the body, mind, and soul.”
Addressing the gathering, especially the students, he stated that “Yoga is not just a form of exercise, but a complete way of life. It promotes both physical fitness and mental equilibrium.” He urged everyone to make yoga an integral part of their daily routine, contributing to the building of a healthier, more aware, and disciplined society.
Following the yoga session, Minister Kashyap flagged off a yoga awareness march, aimed at educating the public about the importance of regular yoga practice. He remarked that “International Yoga Day is not merely a ceremonial event but a long-term social movement that can help us realize the vision of a healthy and empowered India.”
Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s global efforts, he said that due to his leadership, International Yoga Day has received global recognition, and yoga is now celebrated worldwide as a positive lifestyle practice. He also lauded Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for promoting yoga across Uttar Pradesh and emphasized that yoga is essential for building a disease-free, stress-free, and positive society.
The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from a large number of students, teachers, local citizens, elected representatives, administrative officials, and members of various organizations, all of whom took a collective pledge to promote the message and benefits of yoga to every household.
