Muzaffarnagar — A young woman from Kiyampur village in Muzaffarnagar’s Charthawal police station area was allegedly raped multiple times under the pretext of marriage. The accused also reportedly recorded an obscene video of the survivor and circulated it on social media. Acting on the victim’s complaint, police have arrested the accused and filed a case.
The arrest comes under an ongoing crackdown on criminals initiated by Muzaffarnagar SSP Sanjay Verma. The operation was carried out under the supervision of CO Sadar Devvrat and leadership of Charthawal Station House Officer Jasveer Singh, along with Inspector Crime Jai Kishore and the local police team.
The accused, identified as Ritik, son of Tarvinder and a resident of Dakadei village in Nanauta police station limits, Saharanpur district, was taken into custody and sent to jail.

According to SHO Jasveer Singh, Ritik lured the woman with a promise of marriage and repeatedly raped her. He later recorded a lewd video of her and uploaded it to social media platforms, causing severe mental and emotional trauma to the survivor.
A formal FIR has been registered, and the investigation is ongoing. Police have assured that strict action will be taken to ensure justice is served in the case.
