Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya Holds Janata Darshan, Prioritizes Elderly and Women

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya held a Janata Darshan at his official residence located at 7, Kalidas Marg, Lucknow. The outreach initiative aimed at directly addressing public grievances witnessed people from various districts of the state presenting their issues before the Deputy CM.

During the event, elderly citizens and women were given priority, reflecting the administration’s commitment to inclusive governance. Maurya interacted personally with each visitor, listened patiently to their concerns, and issued immediate instructions to the concerned district-level officials for timely redressal of their problems.

Addressing specific departments, Maurya directed:

  • Electricity officials to ensure uninterrupted power supply as per the roster.

  • Revenue officers to promptly resolve matters related to land measurement, chakroads, encroachments, and access routes.

  • Police personnel were instructed to listen attentively to complainants at police stations and act strictly in accordance with the law.

  • The Commissioner for Rural Development was directed to ensure timely completion of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and other related schemes across all districts.

The Deputy Chief Minister emphasized that senior citizens and women must be treated with sensitivity and urgency, and instructed district authorities to resolve public issues at the local level as far as possible.

The Janata Darshan reflected the government’s proactive approach toward governance and direct citizen engagement, reiterating its resolve to build a responsive and accountable administrative system.
