Lucknow: In a tragic case of alleged dowry death, the Aliganj Police in Lucknow have arrested two accused — the husband and mother-in-law of the deceased — following a written complaint filed by the victim’s father. The arrests were made on April 30 from their residence in Shivlok, Triveni Nagar-3, under Aliganj police station limits.
According to the official police report, the victim’s father submitted a complaint on April 29, 2025, alleging that his daughter was murdered by her in-laws due to continuous pressure for additional dowry. Acting swiftly on the complaint, the police registered FIR No. 105/25 under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Dowry Prohibition Act against:
