Amethi: District Magistrate Nisha Anant held a public meeting (Chaupal) in Karaudi village, Sangrampur block, Amethi tehsil, to listen to the grievances of villagers and issued necessary directives to officials for their resolution. She also conducted an on-site inspection of various government welfare schemes.
During the meeting, the status of ration distribution, pension schemes, healthcare services, sanitation, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, and Jal Jeevan Mission was reviewed. While some villagers appreciated the fair distribution of ration, others raised concerns about irregularities in housing and water supply. The District Magistrate instructed officials to ensure immediate benefits to eligible beneficiaries and expedite work on the “Har Ghar Nal” (tap water for every household) initiative under the Jal Jeevan Mission.
She also interacted with members of self-help groups (SHGs), who shared that they were effectively utilizing loans taken through the scheme. During her village tour, the DM inspected the water supply tank, expressing dissatisfaction over leakages and grouting issues, and directed officials to rectify them immediately.

The public meeting was attended by Executive Engineer (Jal Nigam) A.K. Singh, Tehsildar Narendra Yadav, Block Development Officer (Sangrampur), Village Head Seema Yadav, Revenue Officer Umesh Yadav, Police Station Incharge Sandeep Rai, along with other officials and local residents.
