Lucknow: The Gautampalli police in the state capital of Lucknow have achieved a major breakthrough by arresting a fraudster posing as an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer.
The accused was involved in duping people by falsely promising them houses in exchange for money. His fraudulent activities had been ongoing for some time in the Gautampalli police station area, where he managed to deceive several unsuspecting victims.
Upon receiving complaints, the police launched an investigation and successfully apprehended the fake IAS officer. The accused is currently in police custody, and further interrogation is underway to gather more details about his fraudulent operations.
Authorities have urged citizens to remain cautious and verify credentials before engaging in any transactions related to property deals or government schemes.
