UP Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya Hails Union Budget 2025-26 as a Blueprint for Developed India

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya has lauded the Union Budget 2025-26, presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in the Lok Sabha, calling it a comprehensive budget dedicated to the welfare of the poor, youth employment, women’s empowerment, and enhancing farmers’ income.

Describing it as the roadmap for a “Developed India,” Maurya highlighted that the budget focuses on accelerating agricultural development and productivity, promoting rural prosperity, providing income tax relief, boosting the ‘Make in India’ initiative, fostering women’s entrepreneurship, improving healthcare, supporting MSMEs and innovations, and advancing infrastructure development.

“This budget is inclusive, focusing on the holistic development of every section of society, including women, youth, the elderly, farmers, and all communities,” said Maurya. He emphasized that the budget will add a new golden chapter in the history of India’s social, economic, and cultural development.

Maurya further stated, “It lays the foundation for comprehensive growth and self-reliance. The Union Budget will fulfill the aspirations of every section of society. It is dedicated to villages, the poor, farmers, youth, and women’s empowerment, propelling India towards becoming the world’s number one economy.”

The Deputy Chief Minister noted that the budget upholds the principles of social justice, equality, and equal opportunities, strengthening the weaker sections. “It will establish a strong foundation for building a developed India,” he added.

Maurya also announced the launch of the “Pradhan Mantri Dhan-Dhanya Yojana” aimed at benefiting around 1.7 crore farmers across the country. The scheme will cover 100 districts with low agricultural productivity, and policies will be framed in collaboration with states to ensure rural prosperity.

Highlighting the government’s focus on inclusive growth, Maurya said, “The Union Budget 2025-26 prioritizes the holistic development of the poor, youth, farmers, and women across ten key sectors.”

Concluding his remarks, Maurya extended his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on behalf of the people of Uttar Pradesh for presenting a visionary, inclusive, and self-reliant budget that reflects the aspirations of the nation.
