Renowned of Ophthalmologist Brigadier Sanjay Kumar Mishra gets the most coveted Param Vishisht Seva Medal (PVSM)
Renowned Ophthalmologist of the country Brigadier Sanjay Kumar Mishra has been the awarded the most prestigious Param Vishisht Seva Medal on the eve of Republic Day by president of India Smt Droupadi murmu.
Currently heading the eye department of the prestigious Army Hospital (Research and referral )Brig Sanjay has had the honour of operating two Serving presidents of India Shri Ram Nath kovind and Smt Droupadi murmu , the current president of India.
Dr Mishra is an alumnus of Armed Forces Medical College Pune and he did his fellowship in Vitreo- Retinal surgery from the prestigious RP Centre AIIMS New Delhi Dr Mishra is a renowned cataract, refractive and Vitreo Retinal surgeon. He is the first surgeon in Armed forces to start the advanced minimally invasive surgery for glaucoma .

Dr Mishra was born in Azamgarh and has Parental village in Mau UP. He did his schooling from Prayagraj . His Father who retired from Air Force decided to settle in Lko.
Dr Mishra has performed more than a lakh surgeries and has recently led a team of Ophthalmologists from Army Hospital (Research and Referral) Delhi to conduct a highly successful Surgical camp for cataract at Dehradun for Exservicemen and their dependents of Uttarakhand.Brig Sanjay Mishra has earlier been awarded with Five Presidential Medals including twice Sena Medal (Distinguished), twice Vishisht Seva Medal and one Ati Vishisht Seva Medal.
