Lucknow – In a dramatic start to the Chandra Prakash Agarwal Memorial UP State Ranking Tennis Tournament, Anay Srivastava and Kavish stunned their higher-seeded opponents in the Boys’ Under-14 category, making a strong statement on the opening day.
Organized under the aegis of the Uttar Pradesh Tennis Association by SDS Tennis Academy at the SDS La Martiniere Tennis Facility, the tournament witnessed remarkable performances across various age groups.
In the Men’s Singles first round, notable victories were claimed by players like Anish Jain, Rahul Prajapati, Anirudh Kumar, Aarav Bhaskar, and Prince.
Inauguration Ceremony
The tournament was inaugurated by the chief guest, La Martiniere College Principal Gary Dominic Everett. Distinguished guests included Lucknow Golf Club Secretary Rajneesh Sethi, Captain RS Nanda, UP Tennis Association Secretary Puneet Agarwal, Vice President Brigadier Sinha, and Venkat Ramani Santhanam of Gyan Dudh. SDS Tennis Academy’s Pawan Sagar welcomed the dignitaries during the ceremony.

- Anay Srivastava defeated top seed Advik Agarwal 6-4.
- Kavish toppled fourth seed Aryan Kumar 6-4 in another upset.
