CMS whiz kids triumph on world stage

Lucknow: A six-member student team from the Cambridge Section of City Montessori School (CMS), Gomti Nagar Extension Campus, has earned global recognition by winning the ‘Best in South Asia-2024’ award at the Cambridge International Science Competition. The team, consisting of Adriti Sharma, Kartik Arora, Tejaswi Tripathi, Mohammad Mahi, Vyapti, and Atulya Tripathi, was honored for their project titled “Unveiling Water Quality: A Rigorous Examination of Gomti River Potability Parameters in the Lucknow Region.” Their research focused on addressing the global issue of water contamination, specifically the potability of Gomti River water.

The project, praised by the judging panel from Cambridge International Assessment Education, London, was noted for identifying a local issue with global relevance. Under the guidance of Dr. Sabina Riaz, the team conducted 50 days of research, presenting their findings in a detailed report. Their work has also been nominated for the ‘Best in World 2024’ award. CMS Manager, Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon, congratulated the students for their achievement.
