Lucknow: Remote Sensing Application Center, Uttar Pradesh and Indian Society of Remote Sensing Lucknow Chapter awarded 60 students on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Dr. Vikram Sarabhai, the father of space technology.

On this occasion, Dr. M.S. Yadav, Secretary, Indian Society of Remote Sensing Lucknow Chapter welcomed Principal Secretary  Pandhari Yadav, all the guests and students. The chief guest of the program,  Pandhari Yadav, Chairman Executive Committee RSAC and Principal Secretary, Department of Science and Technology, presented awards and certificates to the students.  Pandhari Yadav appreciated the speech competition on Aditya L1 by the students and inspired them to take interest in science.

The book of  G.S. Srivastava was released by the Principal Secretary. 80 students from 12 schools participated in the speech competition and quiz. In the speech competition, Mrinalika Trivedi, a student of Modern School, Aliganj, secured first position, Adrika Yadav of Pioneer Montessori Inter College, Jankipuram Lucknow secured second position and Anirudh Srivastava of Modern School, Aliganj secured third position.

Director and Special Secretary, Department of Science and Technology,  Sheeldhar Singh Yadav appreciated the scientific work done at the centre and requested for organising such events.  A.K. Agarwal, President, Indian Society of Remote Sensing, Lucknow Chapter expressed gratitude to the students and teachers for participating in the programme. On this occasion, a lecture was delivered by  Alok Saini, Scientist. The programme was conducted by Dr. Aniruddh Uniyal, Scientist.  Ranjit Singh Verma, Project Scientist proposed the vote of thanks.
