Wave of Thefts Continues in Para Area: Devotee’s Motorcycle Stolen from Budheshwar Temple

Lucknow: The terror of thieves continues unabated in the Para area as yet another incident of theft has come to light. A devotee, Sunil Kumar, who had visited the ancient Budheshwar Temple under the Para police station limits, found his motorcycle stolen in broad daylight.

According to Sunil Kumar, the incident occurred on Sunday, February 2, 2025. He had come to the temple to offer prayers to Lord Shiva and also to meet a prospective bride for his son. After completing his visit, he discovered that his motorcycle was missing from the spot where he had parked it. Despite searching the nearby areas, there was no trace of the vehicle.

This is not an isolated incident. Just a day earlier, thieves had broken into the house of an army personnel in the same area, raising concerns about the rising crime rate. Regular thefts near the temple premises have left locals questioning the effectiveness of the Para Police.

Residents are now voicing their frustrations, asking whether the CCTV cameras installed around the temple are merely decorative. There seems to be little fear of the police among the culprits, as thefts continue unabated.

While the Para Police struggle to curb these crimes, allegations are surfacing about their focus being diverted towards issues like illegal logging and mining. The community now eagerly awaits to see when the motorcycle thief will be brought to justice.
