Lucknow: In the first phase of Lok Sabha elections, voters are using their franchise with enthusiasm on eight seats of Uttar Pradesh. They are also boosting the enthusiasm of other voters by taking selfies, whereas in Pilibhit and Muzaffarnagar districts, newlywed brides also exercised their franchise before their departure to strengthen democracy.
Bride Sapna voted at booth number 23 in Baheri of Pilibhit district. Father Rajveer Singh said that the daughter got married on Thursday. Farewell rituals were being performed on Friday morning. Fulfilling her responsibility, the daughter reached the polling station before leaving and exercised her franchise.
Similarly, in Muzaffarnagar district, a bride voted at polling station number 193-194. The bride said that voting in elections is the right of every citizen. I have come here to give full support to my uncle by using my franchise.
