Massive Police Reshuffle in Uttar Pradesh After Holi: 32 IPS and 17 DSP Officers Get New Postings

Lucknow – In a major post-Holi administrative shake-up, the Uttar Pradesh government has announced the transfer of 49 police officers, including 32 IPS and 17 Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) rank officers. The move is being seen as part of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s strategy to enhance law and order management across the state.

According to official sources, IPS officer Vikas Kumar Vaidya has been appointed DIG Establishment at the DGP Headquarters, while Suryakant Tripathi has been made DIG Fire Services. D. Pradeep Kumar will now serve as DIG of the Police Recruitment Board, and Arun Kumar Srivastava has been given charge as DIG PAC Sector, Ayodhya.

In the recent reshuffle, IPS Hemant Kutiyal has been posted as DIG SSF, Lucknow, and Aparna Kumar has been transferred to the post of IG Human Rights, Uttar Pradesh, based in Lucknow. Among the 17 DSP-rank officers transferred on Monday, six are trainee officers who have received their first postings.

Four Transfer Lists Issued for IPS Officers

The government has issued four separate transfer lists for IPS officers. IPS Hridayesh Kumar is now DIG EOW Lucknow, while Tej Swaroop Singh takes charge as DIG Personnel at the DGP Headquarters. Kamla Prasad Yadav has been posted as DIG Anti-Corruption Organization, Lucknow, and Sunita Singh has been appointed DIG PAC Headquarters, Lucknow. Rajesh Saxena has been made DIG of PTC Sultanpur.

IPS Shivram Yadav is now SP PTS, Meerut, and Deependra Nath Chaudhary has been transferred as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Kanpur Commissionerate.
