Kanpur: The second day of the Kanpur Book Fair 2025, underway at Government Inter College, Chunni Ganj, unfolded with vibrant celebrations, heightened enthusiasm and a noticeable rise in visitors. Held on November 14, the fair turned into a lively cultural hub as special events dedicated to Children’s Day infused the venue with excitement and youthful energy.
The day began with a steady inflow of visitors, gradually turning into a bustling crowd around various book stalls. Students, parents, literature enthusiasts and readers of all ages flocked to explore a wide range of books on display. Organisers noted that the footfall had increased significantly compared to the opening day, indicating a growing public interest in the festival.

Children’s Day became the highlight of the fair, with engaging and creative activities organised especially for young visitors. Children participated enthusiastically in storytelling sessions and poetry recitation competitions, showcasing their imagination and confidence. Educational games and puzzles added an interactive dimension, keeping children entertained while also sparking curiosity and learning. The fairgrounds echoed with cheerful laughter as children immersed themselves in books, activities and performances.

The organisers have planned an equally enriching line-up for tomorrow, November 15, featuring a blend of literary, cultural and musical performances. The schedule includes singing sessions, poetry gatherings by Chandani Pandey and Uma Vishwakarma, a presentation by Akhil Bharatiya Medha Vikas Parishad with Veena Uday, a devotional evening with Geeta Singh, and soulful Sufi music by Saheb Smriti Foundation led by Dr. Ira Mishra.
Appealing to the people of Kanpur, the organisers encouraged residents to participate in the ongoing literary and cultural celebration and help further the spirit of learning and creative expression that the book fair stands for.
