Lucknow: Dr. Ammar Rizvi, Former Acting Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and President of All India Minorities Forum for Democracy has in a Press Statement condemned the recent attacks on Hindu Minority and their places of worship in Bangladesh.
He said that during Pakistan Army Rule the Muslims and Hindus both had suffered equally. Both communities were targeted, killed and their houses were burnt. The Pakistan army junta did everything to silence the voice of freedom. The Bengali people under the leadership of Sheikh Mujib-ur-Rehman fought pitched battle against Pak army.
With the help of Indian army Bangladesh was created. Pakistan was defeated. Ninty three thousand Pakistani soldiers surrendered. They were kept in India as prisoners of War. Later on they were released.
Now the treatment of Minority (Hindus) is most deplorable. Attack on their places of worship is unforgivable. The President of Bangladesh may immediately issue effective orders and ensure to stop this madness. We the Minorities of India stand solidly with the Hindus and victims of this violence.
We appeal to the President of Bangladesh to immediately take effective action against the hooligans and restore peace and order, protect the lives of the common people, places of worship of Hindu Minority must be provided with adequate security.
