After the announcement of the name on 16 April 2024 in the by-election of the Eastern Assembly, OP Srivastava, who remained fully engaged in intensive campaigning for 35 consecutive days, meeting the public as well as organizational structure, election outline and creating harmony among the workers, without any dispute till the polling date, reached Shri Ayodhya Dham on the 36th day after the voting was over to praise the feet of Pawanputra Shri Hanuman Ji and Shri Ram Lala.

Before leaving home on Tuesday morning, as soon as I woke up, I read the election headlines printed in the newspapers, took a bath. Followed the daily rituals of worship. After this, I also spent time with the family. I enquired about the well-being of nieces Chumki and Ana and hugged and loved them. On this occasion, I enquired about the well-being of my wife Kiran Srivastava, sons Darpan Srivastava, Darshan Srivastava, daughter Mahima. I shared my experience of continuous campaigning for so many days. I also got a photo clicked while refreshing the memories of the past days with my family.

After this, I set out for the darshan of Lord Ayodhya at 8 am along with the workers with whom I stayed for 36 days continuously morning-evening, night-day. After reaching Ayodhya, I first visited Lord Hanuman at Hanuman Garhi with the workers and then bowed my head at the feet of Lord Shri Ram at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi. On this occasion, fellow workers raised slogans of Jai Shri Ram.
