Bareilly: In a heartwarming start to the New Year, District Magistrate Ravindra Kumar visited the Vridh Jan Awas Grih (Old Age Home) located at Bukhara Mod, opposite the ITBP Campus. The visit was part of his efforts to connect with the elderly residents and ensure that they are receiving the necessary care and attention.
During his visit, the District Magistrate personally interacted with all the elderly residents, inquiring about their well-being and extending his warm wishes for the New Year. He also took the time to learn about the facilities being provided at the Old Age Home, where the residents expressed satisfaction with the services they were receiving.
The elderly residents were pleased to share that the home was providing them with the necessary comforts, and District Magistrate Kumar ensured that the residents received blankets and fruits to keep them warm during the winter months.
In light of the ongoing cold weather, the District Magistrate directed the concerned officials to make arrangements for bonfires (alav) at the Old Age Home to provide additional warmth. He also emphasized the need to ensure that adequate food, clean bedding, warm quilts, hot water, and electricity are maintained, especially during the colder months.
The inspection was attended by Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Sadra, Govind Maurya, District Social Welfare Officer Sudhanshu Shekhar, the Director of the Old Age Home, and other relevant officials.
The visit by the District Magistrate reflects the administration’s commitment to the welfare of the elderly, ensuring that their living conditions are conducive to their well-being, especially during the winter season.
