Lucknow: Vasundhara Foundation celebrated Munshi Premchand’s Jayanti at GGIC, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow. Meenu Srivastava Secretary, Vasundhara Foundation informed that on this occasion, essay writing, poetry recitation and debate competitions were organised to encourage children to take inspiration from the writings of Sahitya Samrat Premchand. President Umesh Singh informed that as per its objectives, Vasundhara Foundation is organizing programs related to great icons, in government schools.
Principal Shashi Rai and teachers Nitasha Sinha, Manjari Dwivedi, Jyotsna Singh and Vasundhara Foundation’s Ramakant Srivastava, Ashok Srivastava, Umesh Singh, Awadhesh Shukla, Alok Sinha, VK Srivastava, RR Maurya etc. facilitated the programme.
Coordinator Rakesh Srivastava informed that prizes were given to Kajal, Mahi, Aarti, Moni and Neha in the essay competition, to Apoorva, Avni and Mahi in the poetry recitation competition and to Aarti, Sana and Gudiya in the debate competition. Apart from this, copies of Swami Vivekananda’s Chicago speech were gifted to all the participants.
