Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel Visits Ayodhya’s Amouna Composite School and Anganwadi Centre, Assesses Mid-Day Meal Quality and Holistic Learning Environment
Ayodhya : Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel conducted an inspection of the Composite School and Anganwadi Centre in Amouna, located under the Masaudha Development Block of Ayodhya district, focusing on the quality of education, nutrition, and foundational infrastructure at grassroots institutions.
During the visit, the Governor thoroughly reviewed key facilities such as the school kitchen, mid-day meal system, smart digital classrooms, and the Anganwadi centre. She interacted with cooking staff and Anganwadi workers to understand the meal quality, available amenities, and the implementation of various nutritional programs.
Demonstrating a hands-on approach, the Governor personally tasted the mid-day meal to assess its quality and spoke at length with the women preparing the food. She appreciated their dedication and encouraged them to maintain hygiene and nutritional standards.
Engaging affectionately with the children, Governor Patel listened to recitations of prayers, poems, and counting exercises performed by the young students. She also distributed fruits and chocolates to the children as a gesture of encouragement and warmth.
During her classroom interactions, she observed teaching methods and reviewed textbook-based reading sessions. She also inquired about the use and effectiveness of digital learning tools installed in the school.

Emphasizing the need for holistic child development, Governor Patel stated,
“Children must begin their day with prayer, learn from the lives of great personalities, and be connected with yoga, sports, and moral education to ensure their all-round development.”
She urged educators and staff to embed value-based learning, discipline, and creativity into everyday schooling to shape responsible citizens of the future.
The Governor’s visit underscored her continued commitment to improving the quality of primary education and child welfare initiatives in rural Uttar Pradesh.
