New Delhi: The Uttar Pradesh Police received four prestigious awards at the FICCI Smart Policing Awards 2025, held at the FICCI Federation House, New Delhi. These awards recognize innovative policing initiatives in crime prevention, surveillance, women’s safety, and disaster management. The event’s chief guest was former Union Home Secretary GK Pillai.
The UP Police were awarded in the following categories:
- Trinetra 2.0 – Crime Analytics & Investigation: This initiative was recognized for its excellence in crime analytics and investigation. The award was presented to DGP Prashant Kumar, ADG LO Amitabh Yash, and Deputy SP in STF Deepak Kumar Singh.
- Crime Analytics & Predictive Policing Portal – Surveillance & Monitoring: In this category, ADG, Technical Services, Naveen Arora, was honored for advancements in predictive policing and surveillance.
- Operation Jagriti – Women’s Safety: ADG, Agra Zone, Anupam Kulshreshtha, was awarded for his contributions to women’s safety through Operation Jagriti.
- Aapda Mitra – Disaster Emergency Response: The award for disaster emergency response was given to Commandant, SDRF, Satish Kumar, for his efforts in disaster management and emergency response.
A total of 129 entries were submitted from 16 state police forces, six Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), and other central agencies. UP Police secured the highest number of awards among all participating organizations, further cementing its reputation for innovative policing and security initiatives.
