UP Explores Global Investment and Industrial Collaboration in Nuremberg

Lucknow: In a significant step toward strengthening global investment partnerships, a high-level delegation from Uttar Pradesh held detailed discussions in Nuremberg with the leadership of NürnbergMesse Group, one of the world’s leading exhibition organisers.

The delegation, led by Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, along with Information Technology and Electronics Minister Sunil Kumar Sharma, met NürnbergMesse Group CEO Peter Ottmann for a result-oriented and substantive dialogue focused on enhancing industrial cooperation and attracting global investment to Uttar Pradesh.

The meeting was held in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of positioning India as a global manufacturing and investment hub, and under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who has been actively promoting Uttar Pradesh as a reliable and investor-friendly destination.

Focus on Trade Fairs, MSMEs and High-Tech Manufacturing

During the discussions, both sides explored wide-ranging opportunities for collaboration in organising international trade fairs in Uttar Pradesh, promoting the MSME (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) sector, and strengthening cooperation in high-tech manufacturing.

The delegation highlighted Uttar Pradesh’s rapid industrial growth, progressive and investment-friendly policies, and robust infrastructure network, including expressways, industrial corridors and electronics manufacturing clusters. NürnbergMesse officials appreciated the state’s proactive industrial ecosystem and expressed a positive outlook towards long-term engagement through exhibitions and trade platforms.

Potential collaboration with NürnbergMesse Group is expected to pave the way for hosting high-profile international trade fairs and exhibitions in Uttar Pradesh. Such events could facilitate technology exchange, global networking, and new investment inflows across sectors including electronics, advanced manufacturing and innovation-driven industries.

Strengthening Global Image and Investment Ecosystem

Officials stated that partnership with a globally reputed exhibition organiser like NürnbergMesse would enhance Uttar Pradesh’s visibility on the international stage. It would also create structured platforms for MSMEs from the state to showcase their products and capabilities to global buyers and investors.

The discussions emphasised the role of trade fairs in accelerating industrial growth, encouraging technology transfer and integrating local enterprises into global value chains. Both sides agreed to continue dialogue to formalise avenues of cooperation in the near future.

The Uttar Pradesh government reiterated its commitment to strengthening the state’s positive global image and ensuring a seamless investment climate through transparent policies and investor facilitation mechanisms. The delegation underscored the state’s focus on expanding electronics manufacturing, high-tech production capabilities and MSME competitiveness through strategic international partnerships.

The engagement in Nuremberg is being seen as another step in Uttar Pradesh’s broader strategy to deepen ties with developed economies like Germany and attract quality investments in advanced sectors. By leveraging global exhibition platforms and industrial collaborations, the state aims to accelerate its journey toward becoming a leading destination for innovation, manufacturing and enterprise development.
