New Delhi: Trident Group, a leading player in the textiles sector, has announced plans to invest ₹3,000 crore in Madhya Pradesh to expand its operations, generating 3,000 new jobs. The announcement was made by the group’s Chairman, Rajinder Gupta, during the Madhya Pradesh Regional Industry Conclave on Monday.
The Ludhiana-based company, known for its vertically integrated operations from sourcing cotton to producing finished goods, already has a significant presence in the state.
Expanding Global Reach
“We ventured into Madhya Pradesh a few years ago with an initial investment of ₹5,000 crore. Today, our products from this region are exported to 122 countries, with demand continually rising,” Gupta said.
The proposed ₹3,000 crore investment aims to further strengthen the company’s footprint in the textile sector while boosting employment in the state. Trident Group’s workforce in Madhya Pradesh will grow from the current 12,000 to over 15,000, Gupta added.
Focus on Sustainability and Women Empowerment
Gupta emphasized the company’s commitment to sustainability and inclusive growth. “Madhya Pradesh offers a perfect balance of sustainability and green energy opportunities, including immense potential for solar and wind energy development,” he noted.
Additionally, the company plans to prioritize skill development and women’s empowerment in its expansion strategy. “Fifty percent of the new jobs created will be reserved for women,” Gupta revealed.
