Deadline for submission of No Objection Proposals for new B.Ed. colleges and additional undergraduate and postgraduate courses set for December 15, 2024
Dates established for verification of land records, formation of inspection panels, and granting of affiliation for new course proposals
Lucknow: A timetable has been set for the establishment of new colleges and institutions, along with the introduction of additional undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including the B.Ed. program, for the academic session 2025-26. As per this schedule, December 15, 2024, has been set as the final date for submitting online No Objection Proposals (NOC) for new courses at universities. Verification of land records by the Revenue Department will be conducted from December 16, 2024, to January 20, 2025. The submitted NOC proposals will be sent to the District Magistrate for verification within 7 days, and the verification report will be forwarded to the respective university online within one month. The NOC will be issued online by January 31, 2025.
Higher Education Minister Yogendra Upadhyay stated that if an appeal is required against the university’s decision, it can be submitted to the government by February 10, 2025, and the resolution of the appeal is set for February 20, 2025. Applications for the formation of the inspection panel will be accepted by February 28, 2025, and the university must constitute the inspection panel by March 5, 2025. The inspection report must be submitted by April 5, 2025, and affiliation will be granted by April 20, 2025. Appeals related to affiliation will be resolved by May 31, 2025.
Principal Secretary M.P. Agrawal has directed all university registrars in the state to verify land-related documents, including land record verification, joint ownership certificates, and on-site inspections. He also instructed that any unjustified objections would be considered inappropriate.
Regarding the formation of the inspection panel, it will be mandatory for experts and the member secretary to be present, and the inspection dates will be displayed on the portal. If the inspection does not take place on the scheduled date, the application may be canceled. An annual record of the integrity and conduct of the panel members will also be maintained.
The inspection report submitted by the panel will be in accordance with government regulations, and to ensure transparency and integrity, a committee formed by the government may conduct a counter-verification.
