Lucknow: MLA OP Srivastava held a meeting with the officials of Lucknow University Bhikhapur Electricity Sub-Centre regarding electricity problems in Vivekananda Ward, Mahanagar Ward, Nishatganj and Papermill areas falling under the East Assembly. He also strictly warned the officials of the electricity department to take care that complaints of road cutting should not come to them in the rainy season. Also gave instructions to pick up the phone of the public and to resolve their problems immediately.
MLA OP Srivastava told the electricity department officials that he has received complaints from many places that in the afternoon when there are no men in the houses and only women and elderly people are alone, then the electricity meter readers come to the houses. Taking this issue seriously, he suggested to the electricity department officials to change the timing of the employees who come to take meter readings. Superintendent Engineer Deepak Kumar assured to take action on this soon. MLA OP Srivastava instructed the officials to replace the dilapidated poles and hanging wires of the electricity department in the area, on which the officials told him that Bhikhapur Electricity Sub-Centre has installed 22 new transformers in the Eastern Assembly and replaced the electricity wires up to 11 km.
On the initiative of the MLA, the Municipal Corporation removed the garbage dump
Preeti Srivastava, a resident of house number 2001/13 Rajkunj in Indiranagar C-Block, was upset because the Municipal Corporation had made a garbage dumping site in front of her house. She complained about this to the regional MLA OP Srivastava. Taking the problem of garbage dumping in front of the house seriously, the MLA gave strict instructions to the Municipal Commissioner to resolve the problem. The Municipal Commissioner took action and got the garbage dumping site cleaned and also instructed to remove the garbage bins kept there soon. Preeti thanked MLA OP Srivastava after the problem was solved.
