Lucknow: In alignment with Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya’s directives, the State Rural Development Institute, Uttar Pradesh, is proactively conducting diverse training programs to ensure efficient execution of developmental and government schemes. One such initiative, a state-level three-day training program on “Fire Disaster Management”, commenced at the Deendayal Upadhyaya State Rural Development Institute, Bakshi Ka Talab (BKT), Lucknow.
Key Participants and Inaugural Session
The program witnessed the participation of approximately 60 personnel, including Deputy Collectors, Tehsildars/Naib Tehsildars, Additional Chief Medical Officers, Deputy Chief Medical Officers, Medical Officers, and disaster management experts from across the state.
During the inauguration, BD Chaudhary, Principal Additional Director of the Institute, highlighted the importance of equipping districts with robust fire disaster management plans. He urged participants to leverage their learnings for the benefit of their respective regions. Other dignitaries present included:

The training incorporates theoretical knowledge alongside hands-on demonstrations by the SDRF team and Fire Department, ensuring practical exposure to fire prevention techniques and accident response mechanisms.
Group Exercises and Planning
Post-training, participants will form four groups to develop actionable management plans for schools, offices, public spaces, and homes. This exercise aims to translate theoretical understanding into tangible strategies tailored for real-world scenarios.
