BLOs Directed to Ensure Timely Distribution and Collection of Enumeration Forms
Lucknow: In compliance with the directives of the Election Commission of India (ECI), the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) program of electoral rolls has commenced across all assembly constituencies under District Lucknow. Booth Level Officers (BLOs) have begun distributing and collecting enumeration forms from voters as part of the detailed voter data verification process.
To ensure the smooth and effective execution of the revision exercise, District Magistrate and District Election Officer Vishak G conducted an extensive field inspection on Tuesday. During the visit, she inspected Booth Nos. 19, 20, and 100 in the Sarojininagar Assembly constituency. BLO Rajesh Chandra Rao was found present at Booth No. 19, BLO Sarla at Booth No. 20 in Sarosa Bharosa, and BLO Gangaram at Booth No. 100 in Sector G, LDA Colony, Aashiana.
The District Magistrate reviewed the status of enumeration form distribution and interacted with the BLOs to gather detailed information about the ongoing process. She instructed that every eligible voter must receive the enumeration form in a timely manner, and all completed forms must be compiled before December 4, 2025, as per the ECI’s schedule.
During her inspection, Vishak G also interacted directly with local voters to obtain feedback on the process. Based on their inputs, she issued necessary directions to the BLOs for improving efficiency and outreach. She emphasized that no negligence or delay in election-related duties would be tolerated.
The District Magistrate directed all concerned officials to ensure that the Special Intensive Revision program is carried out with high quality, transparency, and within the prescribed timelines, reinforcing the district administration’s commitment to a fair and accurate electoral process.
