Lucknow: Under the program Sankalp-HEW a special awareness campaign program of 100 days has been scheduled on the theme Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao at the district level, As per the instructions of the District Probation Officer, Lucknow, under the said program, detailed information about the Maternity Benefit Scheme was provided among women / adolescents by the Center Administrator of One Stop Center, Lucknow at Gomti Enclave, Sushant Golf City, Lucknow.
In the program, as the chief guest, the Member, Suchita Chaturvedi, Uttar Pradesh State Child Rights Protection Commission inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp and was honored by a shawl and giving a plant.
In the program, sanitary napkins were distributed by Deepali, Aanchal, Sofi Company’s employee and a song was presented by the team of One Stop Center, Lucknow.
Rajneesh Singh, President Candidate, Gomti Enclave, Lucknow conducted a session on women’s safety. Meena Singh, RWA President, Saryu Enclave, spoke about women. Suryakant Chaurasia, Protection Officer from District Child Protection Unit, gave information about all the schemes of Women Welfare Department.
In the program, information was given about ending the dowry system, stopping the evil practice of child marriage, stopping child labor, creating a drug-free society, avoiding sexual violence against boys/girls below 18 years of age, complaining and speaking openly, about their rights, along with this, awareness was created by discussing the role of parents for the best development of children.
Along with the above, the schemes run by the department in the interest of girls/women, such as the increased amount of Mukhyamantri Bal Seva Yojana, Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana, sponsorship scheme, women pension scheme were explained in detail and pamphlets related to the schemes were distributed to make people aware about applying.
The Centre Administrator also informed about the assistance/working systems given at the One Stop Centre (rescue, medical facility, short stay, women police reporting post, counselling, legal aid) and the training programmes under the Skill Development Mission run at the Centre. Toll free numbers related to government-run helpline numbers such as 181 (women helpline), 1090 (women power line), 108 (ambulance service), 102 (health service), 1098 (child line), 112 (police emergency service), 1076 (Chief Minister helpline) etc. were publicized.
