Schools in city reel under bomb threat

LUCKNOW: On Monday morning, emails containing bomb threats were received on the mail IDs of schools in Lucknow Commissionerate area. As soon as the school principal and manager received the information through email, the children were taken out of the school. Along with this, the school management informed the parents of the children about the incident. Apart from this, Lucknow Airport has also received a bomb threat.

School children and staff evacuated
VIBGYOR school in Gomti Nagar area has received a bomb threat. As soon as the threatening email was received, everyone was taken out by ringing the school bell. After this, the children remaining in the school rooms were taken out. Similar information came to light in St. Mary’s School located at Kathauta intersection and LPS School in PGI area. The children of both the schools were immediately taken out by the school staff.

Entire Lucknow on alert mode
As soon as information about the bomb was received, apart from the local police station, ACP, DCP rank officers and bomb disposal squad reached the spot. The squad officers thoroughly inspected the schools with the help of the dog squad. The bomb disposal squad investigated the suspicious object and seized it. Upon examining the suspicious object, it was not found to be a bomb.

Apart from the schools of Lucknow, the airport also received bomb threats. Airport security officials conducted a thorough investigation. After investigation, the airport located at Amausi is being declared completely safe. Apart from airport security officials, police officers also reached there. After receiving information about the bomb, entire Lucknow has been put on alert mode. Vehicle checking has been increased at major intersections of the city.
